Step inside the home of Carl Larsson through art. Carl Larsson (1853–1919), a prominent Swedish painter of the Arts and Crafts movement, was celebrated for his oils, watercolors, and frescoes, especially those depicting serene family scenes. Now, select masterpieces are elegantly reproduced on high-quality linen cushions.
The design of this pillow features Anna, commonly known as Lillanna, the young Leksandskullan figure modeled by Carl Larsson as early as 1912. Rather than the traditional yellow dress typical of little girls from Leksand, she is dressed in a black skirt, a red apron, a floral shawl draped over a white blouse, and a floral cap adorning her hair. Positioned atop a white-painted rococo peasant chair, she reaches for one of the candles lit on the adjacent Christmas tree.
